About Me
I am a watershed ecologist in the final throes of a PhD at Deakin University in Geelong, Australia. I hold a Master of Science in Water Resources and have a background in fire ecology, forestry, and fishery biology. In my PhD research, I am using DNA metabarcoding to examine stream biofilm. My thesis connects catchment-scale hydrological processes and microscopic biological communities. I am a plant nerd, gardener, and aspiring herbalist who loves to play outside.
