About Me
I’m a master’s student at the University of Stockholm in the program ‘Biodiversity & Systematics’ and I’m currently working on my thesis project at the Natural History Museum of Bergen. My thesis focuses on the diversity of a specific group of hydrozoans (Hydractiniidae) which are important members of our marine ecosystems and are also used as model-organisms because of their regeneration abilities. However their taxonomy is still problematic and for my work I’m using different approaches from traditional taxonomy to phylogenetic analyses. My thesis is part of a project investigating the diversity of hydrozoans in Norway and improving our knowledge about this interesting but easily overlooked group (project NORHYDRO: https://www.artsdatabanken.no/Pages/262170/Marine_benthic_hydroids).
